Professor Richard (Ric) Parker is an independent Special Advisor, working with various companies and institutions in the fields of technology strategy and technology transfer. Clients include, BP, Rolls-Royce, LG Fuel Cells and A-Star, Singapore.

Ric was appointed Director of Research & Technology, Rolls-Royce Group in January 2001 and retired in April 2016. He was responsible for direction and co-ordination of Research & Technology programmes across all the Rolls-Royce businesses, worldwide.

Ric joined Rolls-Royce in 1978, and has held various posts including Chief of Composites and Ceramics, Managing Director - Compressor Systems and Director of Engineering & Technology, Civil Aerospace.

Dr Philip Bolton

Dr Philip Bolton currently leads the Outside Innovation team and has responsibility for delivering new and innovative solutions to the Health category pipelines.  This can be anything from an ingredient in the product, through to products, forging sustainable partnerships externally as well as being a strategic innovation partner for the senior category leadership within RB.

Dr Bolton obtained his PhD in organometallic chemistry from the University of Durham, UK in 2000 and subsequently joined P&G where he worked on new technology development for the hair colourant category.  He then moved to RB in 2006 and has worked across a number of Innovation and Category R&D roles in the UK, Italy, Singapore and the US, becoming a director in 2010 and returning back to the UK based in RB headquarters in April 2015. 

Albert Pozo

Albert Pozo joined SATS, Asia’s leading ground handling and food services company, as Chief Digital Officer in May 2018. Since then, Albert has spearheaded the digital transformation of SATS Group’s products, processes and technology, achieving productivity gains and implementing innovate new services. 

Prior to this, Albert was President of Amadeus Asia Pacific, responsible for its regional growth. He first joined Amadeus in 1993, and has held a number of leadership roles. Prior to Amadeus, Albert worked for Swissair for five years. 

Albert holds an honours degree in linguistics from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and has completed executive programmes at INSEAD and University of St. Gallen.

Dro Tan is Matex's Executive Director since 2010. He is responsible for the group’s business, branding projects, and product innovation and development. He is also actively involved in the group’s diversification projects, to complement core businesses.

Prior to joining Matex, Dro was with architectural firms in Seoul, Korea and Singapore. As Vice President of International Affairs at the Textile and Fashion Federation Singapore (TAFF) and an Academic and Examination Board Member of the Textile and Fashion Industry Training Centre (TaF.tc), he works closely with respective stakeholders to help develop and grow the Singapore textile and fashion Industry and its members globally.  

Dro graduated with a Masters in Architecture and Minor in Technopreneurship from the National University of Singapore, focusing on the global study and development of sustainable suburban communities.

Dr Philipp Gneiting

Dr Philipp Gneiting has been with Daimler for 13 years and is currently head of the open innovation team at Daimler PIONEERING. Russell Tham

Russell Tham is the President of New Enterprises and Ventures at ST Engineering. He drives the expansion of the group's business by building new growth areas through technology and innovation in verticals outside of the group's core businesses in the aerospace, electronics, land systems and marine sectors. 

Russell was previously with Applied Materials for 23 years, where he held various management positions before being appointed president of Applied Materials South East Asia in 2009. As president, he oversaw the regional business and led the company's business, infrastructure and strategy to grow the company's footprint in Singapore and South-east Asia.

Dr Rannia Leontaridi OBE

Wong Lup Wai

Wong Lup Wai is the Chief Executive Officer of IPI, an affiliate of Enterprise Singapore. He is responsible for leading the strategy and growth of IPI in consultation with the Board of Directors and Steering Committee.

Lup Wai brings with him strong international management experience and deep knowledge of strategic planning, operations, and innovation and development. Prior to joining IPI, he held various senior leadership roles which include Chief Operating Officer at the Singapore Sports Hub, as well as Group Executive Vice President and Group Chief Operating Officer at Hyflux.

He spent 25 years with Philips Electronics Singapore, including a three-year stint at Philip's joint venture factory in Suzhou, China. Lup Wai holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Jordi Ràfols

Jordi Ràfols is the Founder and CEO of Innoget.com. With more than 20 years’ experience in open innovation and technology transfer, Jordi has been directly involved in hundreds of open innovation projects for different industries and worked with several international companies for the evaluation, development and deployment of their open innovation programmes.

He is also the Managing Partner at Science2Society.eu, one of the largest EU-funded projects aimed at enhancing industry-academia collaboration. In addition, Jordi coaches technology-based start-ups develop and implement strategies, and accelerate business growth as part of the Catalan National programme "Startup Catalonia".

Jordi holds a MBA at ESADE Business School and a Corporate Finance degree at IE (Instituto de Empresa in Madrid) and has experience in corporate venture and valuation projects.

Ayesha also serves on the Board of Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the Singapore government's agency that develops its world-class technology sector to drive the country's digital economy and power its Smart Nation vision.

In 2017, ADDO AI was featured in Forbes magazine as one of four leading artificial intelligence companies in Asia and Ayesha was named one of South East Asia's groundbreaking female entrepreneurs by Forbes magazine in 2018. Bernard Siew is the Vice President, Innovation, Changi Airport Group (CAG). His key responsibilities include building an innovation partnership network and develop processes within the organization to co-innovate, develop and implement practical innovations at Changi Airport. Prior to this role, Bernard was the Deputy Director, Innovation & Enterprise, National Research Foundation (NRF) and responsible for the formulation of innovation policies to support the commercialization of R&D in Singapore. Dr Dan Widmaier

Dr Dan Widmaier is the Co-founder and CEO of Bolt Threads. Dr Widmaier earned his PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from UC San Francisco, where his graduate research involved designing genetic circuits to control microbial organelles.

In 2009, he and his two Co-founders founded Bolt Threads, which is creating the next generation of materials using biomimicry and biotechnology. Harnessing his experience in both science, and business development, Dr Widmaier has grown Bolt Threads from an incubator start-up to a biomaterials platform company with 100+ employees. He has led Bolt Threads through multiple fundraising rounds, created a lasting partnership with Stella McCartney, and launched an increasing number of commercially available products using Bolt Threads materials.

Szue Hann Tan

Tan Szue Hann is the Managing Director of Miniwiz Singapore, an award-winning global Circular Economy RD&D design firm. He also conducts Design Studio as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Architecture & Sustainable Design Pillar, Singapore University of Technology & Design (SUTD). 

Szue Hann's current work is in circular economy R&D and design, creating architecture, spaces and products through upcycling materials. His portfolio includes the award-winning ParkRoyal on Pickering, the SPACE Asia Hub and the O&M HQ with WOHA; the BCA SkyLab, a state-of-the-art rotatable test bed for building technologies, which won a Minister’s Award on National Day 2017, while he was heading Sustainability at Surbana Jurong.

Low Cheaw Hwei is Head of Design for Philips ASEAN Pacific and Head of Philips Design consultancy for Asia. He is responsible for the overall direction of Philips Design in the region, leading the company through a design transformation, as Philips moves towards experience and solutions based innovation.

Based in Singapore, Cheaw Hwei first joined Philips Design in 1991 and has since held various creative and management roles within the Netherlands and Hong Kong, before returning home in 1997 as Design Director for Singapore and Senior Design Director for Philips Consumer Electronics in Asia.

Garrick Soon is the founder of ProtoKing. He began his career as an apprentice in a tool and die making company, and later mastered plastic injection moulding from a veteran moulder. He grew to become a prototyping and Design for Manufacturing specialist.

Garrick is familiar with different industry standards, as well as various materials and advanced manufacturing techniques. Today, Garrick leads an international team of designers and engineers which seeks to "Empower Ideas". Through ProtoKing, he offers a range of services from product conceptualisation, industrial design, R&D, to prototyping and manufacturing. His work is based on a practical approach to applying design thinking.

Dr Jackson Lam

Centre of Innovation – Electronics & IoT, Nanyang Polytechnic

Dr Jackson Lam has over 35 years of experience in the Electronics and Infocomm industries. He is responsible for providing project consultancy and development services for the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at Nanyang Polytechnic’s Centre of Innovation for Electronics & IoT.

He was the Director of Engineering at InfoWave, where he led the engineering team to develop the 3rd generation Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) for taxi fleet call and management systems. He spent the early part of his career with a local pioneer technological company, Powermatic Data Systems, focusing on the development of networking products and the associated Application Specific Integrated Circuits.

Dr Lam carried out his PhD research in Imperial College on advanced Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) communication networks.

Dr Wai Mun Loke

Dr Loke Wai Mun has accumulated substantive academic and industrial expertise in functional food/nutraceutical product R&D and validation.

In 2013, Dr Loke set up the Centre for Functional Food & Human Nutrition at Nanyang Polytechnic, and has since worked with many local food companies to validate and develop novel functional food products. As a convenor with the Singapore Standard Development Office, he created guidelines for the Singapore food industry to design and develop functional food products. In 2017, Dr Loke started Innovprof to bring forth his R&D capability to the functional food industry.

He obtained his PhD with distinction in Chemistry and Pharmacology at the University of Western Australia, and continued his postdoctoral training at the National University of Singapore.

Dr Narasimalu Srikanth

Dr Narasimalu Srikanth is the Program Director and Senior Scientist leading the offshore renewables in ERI@N (NTU). Presently he is leading industrial research projects on offshore turbine development as well as floating solar and hybrid renewable energy systems. He also leads a joint industry programme on offshore renewables comprising MNCs such as Rolls-Royce, Keppel and Lloyds Register; and SMEs like Centek, Envirotek and Oceanpixel. The programme focuses on relevant applied research needs to promote ocean renewables towards remote coastal and islandic regions and in structural health monitoring of assets in marine environment.

Before joining NTU, Dr Srikanth was Technical Director and Senior Specialist at Vestas Wind Energy Systems. He has more than 25 years of industrial experience leading research and development efforts in product and technology development.
