A: TechInnovation 2020 will be a fully digital event that will take place for 24 hours over 5 days from 7 to 11 December 2020. Exhibitors and attendees across all time zones will be able to participate and network with each other virtually.

A: To register as an exhibitor, apply online at www.techinnovation.com.sg. Please note that registration ends on 23 November 2020 or when the booths are fully booked, whichever is the earlier.
TechInnovation is a free event for attendees. Registration for attendees will commence in October 2020.

A: TechInnovation is organised by IPI, a subsidiary of Enterprise Singapore that enables enterprises to grow their businesses through technology and innovation. Focusing on industry needs, IPI works with enterprises to source for technologies locally and overseas, from both public and private sectors; and facilitate partnership to bring new products & services to the market.

A: There are 2 packages available: Basic Package for SMEs & Startups to feature up to two (2) Tech Offers, and Standard Package for organisations with a larger technology portfolio to feature up to twelve (12) Tech Offers. For more information on the packages' benefits and pricing, please download the Exhibitor Brochure.

A: Registration for exhibitors will close on 23 November 2020 or when the digital booths are fully booked, whichever is earlier.

A: To register as an exhibitor, apply online at www.techinnovation.com.sg. Select the exhibitor package of your choice and submit details about the technology offers that you wish to exhibit. The person who submits the form will be the main point of contact for all administrative matters.

A: Each digital booth would have a webpage on the TechInnovation website, where exhibitors will display their company information, technology offer listings and descriptions.

A: Your company's name, profile and website URL will be shown at the digital booth. You may create and upload images and/or videos at your own cost. Once your Tech Offers are submitted and approved, they will be displayed under your digital booth.

Please refer to the Exhibitor User Guide for more information about the text, image and video specifications required for the virtual event platform.

A: TechInnovation is a marketplace and brokerage event that promotes technology commercialisation and collaborations between technology seekers and technology providers.

TechInnovation is not a trade show. Hence, the exhibiting of products and services for sale without technology transfer or collaboration is not allowed.

A: Technology Providers make available technologies or intellectual property for technology transfer, commercialisation, licensing, research collaboration, joint development, etc. They include SMEs, startups, researchers, inventors, university tech transfer offices, research institutes, centres of innovation, incubators/accelerators, corporate ventures, technology intermediaries, innovation agencies and enterprises.

A: For Basic Package, you will get up to two (2) exhibitor login accounts. For Standard Package, you will get up to ten (10) exhibitor login accounts, subject to IPI's approval. The exhibitor login accounts allow exhibitors to access privileged functions in the virtual event system, e.g. submit Tech Offer, arrange meetings and manage leads, so the number of available accounts is strictly limited.

A: Your exhibitor accounts will be available after your application is accepted. With the exhibitor admin account, you may then assign the remaining exhibitor accounts to your other personnel.

A: After your exhibitor application is accepted, the event organiser will get in touch with you for contract signing, billing and payment. The payment methods will be advised by the event organiser. The appointed event organiser for TechInnovation 2020 is SingEx Exhibitions Pte Ltd.

A: All exhibitors must submit the full technology offer (Tech Offer) write-up through their account for every technology to be exhibited. The information will be used to assess the suitability of the technology for exhibiting, matchmaking and Crowdpitching purposes. It also enables IPI and our supporting partners to help you find the right technology seeker for collaboration. The deadline to submit Tech Offers is 9 November 2020.

A: You may submit the Tech Offers online once your exhibitor application is accepted, and before the deadline on 9 November 2020. All fields in the Tech Offer form are required, such as the title, summary, features, specifications, technology readiness level (TRL), applications, benefits and illustrations. The information will be published on the event website for technology seekers to know more about your technologies. The earlier you submit the Tech Offers, the sooner they can be published.

A: You are responsible for writing your Tech Offers in the English language and they will be published as is. You will be provided with a guide on how to write a good technology offer. However, IPI is not responsible for proof-reading and correcting factual or grammatical errors. If you require Tech Offer writing service, IPI can connect you to a service provider. The writing service is chargeable.

A: Crowdpitching is a platform for exhibitors to present and pitch their technology to the audience for commercialisation or collaboration opportunities. There are four crowdpitching sessions in Digital Economy, Health &Personal Care, Urban Solutions & Sustainability, and Food & Nutrition available at TechInnovation 2020, with up to 10 presentations per session.

A: When you submit your Tech Offer, you may indicate your interest to present the Tech Offer for crowdpitching. IPI will evaluate and shortlist the Tech Offers for crowdpitching based on innovativeness, market needs etc across various sectors. If the Tech Offer is accepted, exhibitors are given up to five (5) minutes at one of the four crowdpitching sessions based on technology category. One crowdpitch per exhibitor is accepted. The deadline to submit Tech Offer is 9 November 2020, in order to be considered for crowdpitching too.

A: Submit your Tech Offer by the deadline on 9 November 2020. IPI will evaluate and shortlist the relevant Tech Offers for crowdpitching. You will be informed by mid-November if your Tech Offer has been accepted for crowdpitching. The earlier the Tech Offer is submitted, the higher your chances of getting a slot to present your Tech Offer and engage the audience for collaboration opportunities.

A: TechInnovation is a free event for attendees. Registration for attendees will commence in October 2020.

You will obtain your login account to access the TechInnovation 2020 event platform upon registration. Your account will have access to all webinars, meeting bookings and video meetings upon login.

A: No. SWITCH is a paid event for attendees. You need to purchase a ticket to access SWITCH.

A: Tech Matching is a unique feature of TechInnovation. It is a personalised service provided by IPI in matching the technology offers (Tech Offers) of the exhibitors to the technology needs (Tech Needs) of the attendees at TechInnovation. IPI uses best effort to match these Tech Offers and Tech Needs before facilitating a virtual B2B meeting between the exhibitors and attendees. These virtual meetings will be held from 7 to 11 December 2020.

A: Exhibitors and attendees who are participating at TechInnovation are eligible for Tech Matching. For Tech Matching to be effective, exhibitors must submit Tech Offers to the system and attendees must tell us their Tech Needs or the expertise they are seeking for upon registration.

A: You may browse the Tech Offers stated under each exhibitor’s page or search for them in the Technologies page. If you are interested to find out more about a Tech Offer, you may make a meeting request with the specific exhibitor after logging in to your account. Once the exhibitor has accepted your meeting request, both parties will receive a confirmation email with the selected date, time and link for the virtual meeting. The meeting tools will be made available in November 2020.

A: When you login to the exhibitor’s account, you may browse the Tech Needs that are shared by the attendees if they have enabled the feature. If your Tech Offer addresses the attendee’s Tech Needs, you may make a meeting request with the specific attendee. Once the attendee has accepted your meeting request, both parties will receive a confirmation email with the selected date, time and link for the virtual meeting.The meeting tools will be made available in November 2020.

A: The meeting tools are built within the TechInnovation platform. You do not need to use any external software or application for these virtual B2B meetings.

A: The lead exhibitor and exhibitors can manage their own meeting schedule. When a meeting request is made by an attendee, the exhibitor who submitted the Tech Offer will receive the meeting request.

A: If you have signed up as a SWITCH exhibitor with a Digital Booth, Digital Building or Digital Village package, you may opt in for Tech Matching at TechInnovation which comes with a complimentary digital booth at TechInnovation. You are required to register here and select “Bundle Package (for SWITCH exhibitors)” as the booth type to take part as a TechInnovation exhibitor, subject to IPI’s approval.

A: You will get the same entitlements and benefits as a TechInnovation exhibitor with the Basic Package, and may showcase up to two (2) Tech Offers. Download the Exhibition Brochure for more information.

A: No. Tech Offers in TechInnovation is not a product listing. Tech Offer write-up is a description of the technology that you want to commercialise. The Tech Offer write-up comprise the Technology Overview, Specifications & Features, Application Areas and Technology Readiness Level (TRL). If you have a product, please describe the enabling technology that you have developed that gives your product its unique selling proposition. A guide on how to write Tech Offers will be provided.

A: Yes. You must submit your Tech Offers and nominate them for Crowdpitching via your TechInnovation exhibitor’s account by 9 November 2020 for IPI’s consideration. We regret that we will not be able to consider your nomination if it is submitted after the deadline on 9 November 2020. You will be informed by mid-November if your Tech Offer has been accepted for Crowdpitching.

A: Please note that registration ends on 23 November 2020 or when the exhibitors’ digital booths are fully booked, whichever is earlier. Register early to avoid disappointment.
